Little Dragons & Little Leaders
Obstacle Course
• Follow directions & be the fastest to win GOLD in this competition! Zoom across balance beams, crawl through tunnels & jump high over obstacles. They will have a blast & smile the whole way through!
White & Yellow Belts
Forms
• This competition consist of performing the belt form you're already learning in class to the best of your ability! Judges are looking for some key things in your form. Focus on your stances, hand preparations, and overall power to win GOLD!
Orange Belts & Above
Forms (Traditional)
• This competition consist of performing the belt form you're already learning in class to the best of your ability! Judges are looking for some key things in your form. Focus on your stances, hand preparations, and overall power to win GOLD!
Technique Challenge
• Show off your skills in our technique challenge! You will be asked to demonstrate your best punches, palm heels, kicks & blocks! Show your power & enthusiasm to win GOLD!
Sparring Skill Set
• This competition consist of performing your sparring skill set (also known as tactical skills set) from class, wth another martial artists. Judges are looking for power, self control, and proper preparation and demonstration of techniques applied. We are already doing all of these things in class, all you need is practice & confidence to win GOLD!
Sparring (based on points)
• This competition is all about points you can score on your opponent while sparring. Whomever earns the most points when time is up win the roung!
* Key tip: techniques to the head are worth the most points! Earn the most points in all your rounds to win GOLD!
Board Breaking
• This competition is all about smashing through your boards. You will be given a designated number of boards to break & techniques to use. Set up your boards, practice, bow in & then smash all of your boards on the first try. Breaking all your boards will earn you GOLD!
Free Designs
• Free Designs are forms that you get to create! You c1 Columnan use all of your favorite techniques in any order you'd like & put them to music. The best part about Free Designs is there is no possible way to mess it up! It's your Free Design to do! To earn GOLD in this competition we're looking at technique, power/intensity, and creativity. Have fun with it! This is one of the most favorable competitions! There are 4 different types of free designs you can do-choose one or many!
Four Types of Free Designs
Free designs are creative forms done to music. All four types will be judged on creativity, difficulty, power, and intensity
Hands Only
• Create combinations of your favorite techniques using only your hands and feet. Pair your new form to music and BAM! You got an Individual Music Form.
Weapons
• Create combinations of your favorite techniques using your hands, feet, and weapon of your choosing, then pair to music.
Team Hands
• Join a class budy and create a free design together with music using only your hands, feet, and friend!
Team Weapons
